Harry Clarke was gardener at Minister's Island from approximately 1898 to the 1930s. His son Bill was gardener after him until the 1980s, when after the Province of New Brunswick purchased the Island he was barred from the premises. These photographs come courtesy of his son Henry and his wife Shirley, who live in St. Andrews on the Bar Road. Henry and Shirely were of signal assistance in writing my book on Minister's Island.
